It our pleasure to start your fun day with a visit to Prison Island (Changuu Island). The Island was formerly intended to be the panel institution in the days of the sultans, but was never really used as a prison after the slave trade was abolished. Today the building is used as a Historical site. You will have chance to see the giant tortoises reserved, where you will admire. In 1919 four Aldabra giant tortoises were given as a gift from the government of Seychelles as a present. They find Prison Island a great environment and bred freely. Today, many tortoises are welcoming you, and the first settlers are still among them! There is also a nursery for baby tortoises, where you can see baby tortoises of different ages. Goodbye to Prison Island and board a boat for a good-half-an-hour ride to Nakupenda Sandbank.
The word Nakupenda means “I Love You”, and you will feel loved there – gentle sand spilling over your feet while walking, mellow waves caressing your body. Swim, sunbath and snorkel the crystal-clear waters. Tropical seasonal fruits, Soft drinks heavy sea-food barbeque lunch, including grilled shrimps, squid, octopus, lobster – depending on the day menu.
